Helping an Aging Parent: 3 Things I Wish I’d Known Sooner

by Dale on December 23, 2012

In my recent interview with Caring.com, I share how I became my mother’s caregiver, why I’m motivated to help others, and what I wish I had known in those early days of caregiving.  While this can be a time of great challenge and stress in our lives, I want to show families how to cope with the overwhelming aspects …  and find joy and love in the experience.

If you’re caring for an aging loved one, struggling to get on the same page with family members, or suddenly facing a crisis situation  …  I encourage you to take a few moments to read my interview.  In it, I share:

  • 3 things I wish I had known sooner
  • 3 issues that I consider to be critical issues in senior care today, and strategies to deal with those issues
  • my favorite quote that guides me each and every day … and can guide you as a caregiver

Thank you, Caring.com, for this wonderful opportunity of sharing my perspective with your readers and all who see this post!
